Momiji: from innocence to myth

This fourth post from my latest project "The Legend of Momiji" presents the full development of Momiji, from her earliest concept art to the final textured 3D renders. The design captures her evolution from a graceful young woman to a supernatural figure, blending elegance with a haunting presence.
👘Included are the ZBrush base sculpt, the optimized wireframe model with clean topology and organized polygroups, and detailed renders showcasing her kimono, accessories, and expressive pose.
🎎The post also features detailed concept work: the finished 2D render of Momiji, hairstyle explorations, a turnaround for modeling accuracy, a tonal value study comparing kimono color depths, and dynamic pose sketches that capture her personality and emotional range.
🍁Each stage highlights the balance between cultural authenticity, narrative symbolism, and technical precision that bring this character to life.
