Uchiwa: one fan, two souls

This first post from my latest project "The Legend of Momiji" showcases the complete development of a traditional uchiwa fan inspired by Japanese folklore and Momiji's story.

🍁 The fan features dual-sided artwork: a serene portrait of a woman with maple leaves on one side, and a striking blue oni on the other.

⭐️ Gold accents and a red rope add elegance and symbolism.

🎋 Realistic textures were created to evoke traditional paper and bamboo, blending handcrafted authenticity with narrative depth.
